Following medical legalisation (Proposition 215), a group of biologists originally formed HSC in Humboldt County (home of California’s "Emerald Triangle") back in 2001 to supply patients with marijuana. They now supply regular and feminized seeds to the legal recreational and medical markets. In 2018, they hosted the world’s largest phenotype hunt, collaborating with local farmers to find the most elite Californian genetics. Their careful breeding process ensures that only the very best of the best genetics make it to market, ensuring satisfied customers. Humboldt Seed Company also does some charity work, giving back to the community by donating to low-income families and providing medical marijuana access to patients who can’t afford it.
